Pierce had his first trip to the Zoo this week. Despite the sweltering heat the day was very enjoyable as we basically had the place to ourselves. We tried to stay in the shade and drink plenty of water but after a while I started to understand why no one else was at the zoo. Even the animals were hiding from the heat. Pierce did have some very close encounters with several animals including a tiger, orangutan, snapping turtle, snake and elephant! It was so fun to watch him discover these animals!
